Interact Sandbox

A feature-rich interactive sandbox enables quick prototyping without implementing trivial but complex features.

Highly extendable by having the ability to include any actor type with ease, such as eggs, vehicles to rockets! Why not? The sandbox also entails grabbing, inspecting, picking up, and interacting with actors within the world to how they desire but are authoritative while enabling the player to hold items freely and move them around the world. How about that egg?

The inventory back-end is independent of the front, using API principles to transcribe client requests. The GUI can be deleted entirely and replaced with other widget designs.

The transport system supports driver, passenger and possessive pawn attachments; designed to support any vehicle.

The project was designed with multiplayer in mind, keeping authority with the server throughout to prevent unauthorized changes to client inventories.

Number of Blueprints: Most logic resides within the BP_PlayerController, with master actors containing their relevant events which are called from the controller.

Keybindings:

• I - Inventory
• E - Interact (hold to grab/inspect/move item)
• A-up - Inspection rotate forward
• A-down - Inspection rotate down
• A-left - Inspection rotate left
• A-right - Inspection rotate right
• ALT-drag - Inventory split stack

Vehicle interaction:

• Driver - The driver
• Passenger - A still pawn passenger
• Attachment - A playable pawn attached to the vehicle
