Description

The full DDS Extraction Kit project files for Unreal Engine 5.7.

Everything you need to build a multiplayer extraction shooter in Blueprints using GASP and Motion Matching. Weapons, inventory, AI, vitality, camera, session flow, extraction loop, loot containers, stash, shops, quests, HUD, and full Steam integration. All systems are server authoritative and multiplayer replicated.

PATCH 05/31/26:
Big stabilization pass. Lots of crashes squashed, packaging fixed, and a stack of new feel + feedback systems.

  • Custom shooting targets with adjustable HP, movement (stationary, front-back, side-side), red hit-flash, hit sounds, and auto-reset.

  • Full combat feedback suite. Hit markers, red crosshair flash on hit, spatial impact thuds, bullet whoosh past your head on near misses, plus distinct sounds for kills, shield breaks, and armor breaks.

  • Damage overlay HUD. Red blood vignette flashes per hit, stacks through layers on rapid fire, and lingers then fades. Works correctly in multiplayer.

  • Menu character display. The main menu now shows your saved character (MetaHuman or UEFN body), with a 3-second dark hold and smooth camera + UI fade-in on launch.

  • Reflective surfaces. New mirror-grade metallic material driven by Lumen ray-traced reflections, drop it on any surface.

  • Squad spawn randomization. Each squad picks a random unused spawn group per raid so teammates land together and no two squads share a zone.

  • Per-identity camera offset. Shorter characters can have their camera Z auto-adjusted so the framing matches across body types.

🛠 Fixes

  • Packaged-build lobby crash. Game no longer crashes on entering the lobby in packaged Development and Shipping builds (missing GeometryScripting plugin dependency).

  • UEFN body visible in first-person. The UEFN third-person body is now properly hidden in FPV while still casting a correct shadow.

  • UEFN vault animation. Vault, climb, and other montages now play correctly on the FPV view when using the UEFN body (camera no longer just floats up).

  • UEFN FPV clothes leak. Swapping from a clothed MetaHuman to the UEFN body no longer leaves the old shirt, pants, or shoes attached to your first-person view.

  • Multiplayer identity sync. Player 2 now sees Player 1's selected character correctly on lobby load.

  • Customization Station layering. Swapping from UEFN to a MetaHuman (or between identities) no longer leaves the old body stacked under the new one.

  • A-pose flicker on identity swap. Characters no longer briefly snap through a T-pose / A-pose when swapping at the Customization Station.

  • AI double outfit. Companion and Grunt AI no longer render two stacked bodies in the world or in mirrors.

  • Headless self-view. No more invisible head when looking sideways in first-person freelook.

  • Alt freelook cleanup. Alt is a clean no-op in third person now, and your character no longer gets stuck facing the freelook anchor after releasing Alt.

  • Shoulder swap in FPV. Middle mouse button no longer triggers the mirror flip while in first person.

  • FPV gun clipping the camera. Weapon meshes no longer poke through the near clip plane when held close.

  • Light physics objects launching you. Brushing against a small physics prop no longer rockets the character.

  • Utility and injector hand sockets. Grenades, throwables, and injectors attach to their correct sockets again instead of snapping to the rifle grip.

  • Mag drops flying at the camera. Magazines now eject from the gun, inherit your velocity, and fall naturally.

  • Spine snap on aim-turn. Upper-body no longer snaps when turning in place while aiming.

  • Unequip A-pose. Hands no longer drop to A-pose after putting a weapon away.

  • Slide camera. Character no longer slides out of frame.
