🔄 SteamCore vs SteamCore PRO
SteamCore PRO Advantages:
Uses its own custom Online Subsystem (no dependency on Unreal’s built-in system)
Includes the latest Steamworks SDK (currently version 1.61)
Multiplayer sessions are not region-locked
Supports friend invites to sessions and games
Includes dedicated and listen server authentication (game ownership verification)
Connect to dedicated servers via IP and listen servers via P2P relay — all with the same configuration
Only PRO will receive new feature updates going forward
SteamCore (Legacy) Limitations:
Depends on Unreal Engine's built-in Online Subsystem
Uses an older version of the Steamworks SDK

Notes: You cannot combine this with other Steam Plugins, you must disable all Steam plugins that are included with the engine. (SteamVR, SteamSockets, etc).
Notes: You cannot upgrade from SteamCore to SteamCore PRO as the PRO version uses a completely different system and will break all your SteamCore blueprint references. You'll have to replace all your SteamCore blueprint nodes with nodes from the PRO version.
